Empathy building game!

This is a game I made to help children work on empathy related skills (noticing and responding to others’ feelings). This was originally a game intended for teaching counting to preschoolers and I just covered the numbers with white labels. Then I wrote different people children may encounter in their lives in each section (parent, teacher, grandparent, friend, etc.). Each of the bean bags are decorated with a different feeling.

1) The first person will toss a bean bag into any section.

2) Tell a time you saw the person in that section with the feeling on the beanbag (ie a sad friend) or how you could respond if you saw that person with that feeling.

3) Also you can add points to encourage children to engage in this activity as well. 🙂
