The cultural experience here is so rich and inviting. We left my uncle’s village yesterday to go to Mui Ne for a day at the beach there. It is a pretty touristy place but we stayed in a gorgeous bungalow in the Pandanis Resort. And for 90$ a night, it is truly a shame more people do not think of Vietnam when they think of a gorgeous beach vacation destination. It is the nicest place I have ever stayed and is just far enough away from the tourist beach to experience the quant fishing village nearby. We walked along the beach as the fisherman were bringing in their catch yesterday morning (less than a mile from our beach) and saw the hustle and bustle of the market sellers purchasing the still wiggling squid, flopping sharks, clams, and fish straight off of the boats. Aside from the smell, it was so interesting to see the differences in the fishing, coastal culture and my uncle’s more centrally located village. I was able to get some gorgeous photos too!
